Guidelines for Skills building Workshops
The LOC of the National HIV/AIDS/STI/ORID Research
Conference invites groups and individuals to submit proposals on
Skills building workshops at the conference. Workshops will be part
of the main Scientific Program and as such will not require separate
registration fee.
Workshops will be held from Monday to Thursday from
1030hrs to 1730hrs. All will take place at the main conference venue
or designated satellite venues.
Interested conveners are responsible for the following:
- Organization of the workshop
- Identification and invitation of resource persons/facilitators
and the target audience
- Cost of workshop organization
The conference organizers will be responsible for:
- Identification of the venue
- Provision of selected audio visual aids
- Provision of Rapporteurs
Written proposals to hold the workshops should include:
- The context of which the workshop is to
be held
- The related sub theme
- Objectives
- Expected outcomes
- Maximum number of participants
- Criteria for participation
- Audio visual aid requirements
- Duration of the workshop
- Whether or not refreshment will be served
- Frequency (Please indicate days and times)
- Contact person and details
